Really is a grand design and illustration, eh? If you take the lettering away, it looks like a 1930s Nancy Drew cover and then you see the significance of the silhouette behind Mary…. Top-notch cover!
Very WWI. Also we can see the warrior that she has become over the years. She is growing in a time when women on the whole are growing. But she appreciates the past as seen in her relationship with her husband!
Great design BUT Mary’s a blonde!
