The prow of the gondola says it all. Venezia!
Definitely on my “must have” list.
    Grazie!
I was stationed two years in Vicenza, fifty miles to the West. Looking forward to a return trip to one of my favorite cities, via King Imaginary Travels, Inc.

On close inspection of the picture I realised that the title was a Venetian reference. This was a relief as I was initially concerned that you might have had a less than satisfactory visit to the UK recently.

    OoooOoo

Such a long wait. Just enough time to start over with the BeeKeepers Apprentice and be ready for “Island of the Mad”!

Thank You Miss Russell, for allowing your Literary Agent to share another chapter of your life with us.

Just can’t wait for another Mary Russell / Sherlock Holmes adventure. Keep them coming

So, let’s look at the evidence:
A Russell and Holmes book has not been released for years.
This next book is not coming out until June.
You know that your followers are addicts, and you are the only person who can deliver their…”fix”.
You advertise it now, knowing that your constituency needs it now. – now that we’re already sweating, “Jonesing” with the contortions commensurate with substance withdrawal.

Come now, dear Ms. King; you know as well as I do that you are only trying to coerce your minions into doing your bidding. The only conclusion is that you are actually Moriarty, who has climbed out of the shadows, still wet from the falls, only to drive us “mad”, (further evidenced by the title of the book). What is it you wish us to do? I am quite sure you will give us …. something, if we are to do, whatever it is you wish. I pray not too dangerous…but, there is little doubt, something is afoot in that devious mind of yours…you….you…Laurie R K… Moriarty!!!!

      Ah, you caught me out!

I can’t thank you enough for getting this information to us so far in advance. Every time a new Russell book comes out, I have to go back and reread the entire series in preparation. At this point, it will take me a full six months, and I may even have to skip a few. No, probably not….

For now, I’m listening to the audiobook of Lockdown. Either you have somehow kept hidden a long career as a middle school teacher or this represents some of the best background research in the history of literature. Nailed it.
