Elaine Viets is right on target and pinpoints one of several reasons why I stopped reading male romance novels long ago. As one of the commentators pointed out, she did forget the “ice maiden hiding a passionate heart”; she also left out the “otherwise very competent woman who is so grateful to let the man take over”. But the point was beautifully made and deserves to be shouted from the mountaintops . . .
