My goodness, it looks as if Miss Russell has come to life and is saying rude things about me.

And after all I’ve done for her.
Award-winning, bestselling, thought-provoking mysteries
I’m afraid that the link you posted doesn’t work. But it does seem like one’s characters always turn on their creators, eventually.
*shakes head*
I broke down and posted (under my real name Carlina, which I will begin to use here)…I could not resist. However, my skills at deduction tell me something is afoot *steeples fingers and closes eyes* . I illustrated how much worse it really could be…
That and it was nice to hear from Russell after that whole Locked Rooms mess.
Can our creations ever be pleased with us? I wonder?
Erika–highlight the url, then copy and paste it into your browser address window. That should take you directly to Russell’s blog entry.
Carlina, I also wonder what Holmes’s take is on the Russell memoirs. 🙂
Lovely fun. Thank you, Laurie. Happy Chinese Year of the Golden Boar to you and yours!

Appologies, finally got it to work. My browser makes a habit of cutting short any links that happen to run off the side of the page. I had found my way to a page that was eye-burning pink, belonging to a fifteen-year-old girl in Ohio.
One wonders if Mary Russell’s memoirs would have reached as large an audience if printed as non-fiction, though I doubt fame was on her mind when she mailed the trunk.
Does she approve of the cover-art, I wonder?
If Russell is 99 and Holmes is advising her, just how old is HE by now??? Or has the poor dear become demented?…
It seems they are neither demented nor dead. I did ask, and the answer was a glowing tribute to Royal Jelly.
LOL!

Here’s my chance to redo the post I botched the last time. We can be confident Holmes is still with us. Why, pray tell? Because his obituary has not run in the London Times. There is NO chance the death of someone so prominent would be overlooked. (swiped from LRK and Les Klinger, heh heh)–Meredith T.
So I read Mary Russell’s bulletin board today on Myspace..if you have an account you can do that. Apart from not liking the term BLOG, Mary says she is 104…That makes Holmes what 124/125? Dear me, I must get some of that royal jelly. Honestly, I just don’t want to think of Holmes as dead…god I feel another sniffle attack coming on. *begs LRK not to write about Holmes’s death yet again..sniffle*
Pray tell what DOES Holmes think of Russell’s memoirs?
*sniff* *sniff*
Ok, with Royal Jelly somehow in the mix of things, Russell should be complaining about the scifi/fantasy turn her memoirs have taken!
>>There is NO chance the death of someone so prominent would be overlooked.<< Hmm. Comne to think of it, is his _birth_ in there? [eg] Nikki
