All readers of LRK are winners in the sense of superior taste in anything to do with the printed word, but ten LRK readers now have something physical to show for their status of winnerdom:

The drawing for the Virtual Book Club (https://laurierking.com/vbulletin) on June 15th has come up with those ten (only six of whom have sent their physical addresses, so if you’re one of the missing please get in touch!) who will each receive a copy of The Art of Detection inscribed by the delicate hands of the author herself.
Another drawing will be held next month during the discussion of The Beekeeper’s Apprentice, so if you know what’s good for you, you’ll sign up right quick.
Hi, Laurie, and congrats to the winners. I’m so glad that you are making progress on the rewrite, and I know that the pressure both grows and lightens as the number of pages grows smaller and the freedom day grows nearer: hang in there! Loved Roxanne’s contribution on hazel eyes: mine are said by others to be gold when I’m very happy, green when I’m at ease, and brown the rest of the time . . . sort of a hazel type, I guess–nice to know even eye-gene-non-thoroughbreds have a zone of our own. Happy summer, all!
