It’s the first of the month, and although the Q&A is always open over at the Book Club, does anyone have something they’d like me to talk about here at Mutterings?
Cathy–and anyone else who’s interested–the Book Club bulletin board for Q&A is at:

I can’t find your answers at the Virtual Book club! Admittedly I can’t spend more than 2-3 minutes looking at a time at work and when I’m at home I deal with playing/laughing/hungry/cranky/tired children so I don’t go online. Could you post the link here?
For the Q&A: Would it be within the realm of possibility that you would share with your gentle readers your recipe for polenta?
Question; My whole family has enjoyed the Russell stories and can’t wait for the next one. My wife has an entire collection of the hardcovers and some are first editions. Can a movie ever be made now that Jeremy Bret has passed away?
Thank you!
In case anyone missed it above, here is the Author’s Study thread in the VBC, which is the spot over there for posting questions to Laurie.
Jeff asked, “Can a movie ever be made now that Jeremy Bret has passed away?”
Only if they do it before Alan Rickman gets too old, imho! 😉
I second the recipe request. Looove polenta.
I, too, would appreciate the polenta recipe
I think of Laurie every time I enjoy strawberries now – all of the packages of strawberries in my local grocery store come from her neck of the woods.
RE: a movie without Jeremy Brett. For my part, I can picture no other person playing the part of Laurie’s beekeeper. For me, he *is* Sherlock Holmes.
Hi, Laurie and all,
First time commenting in some time, as I’ve been slow to find my way through the WordPress labyrinth. Hope to get the hang of it soon. Laurie, thanks for opening Q&A, wish I had a good Q, but mainly I want to wish you and yours well as you go through the seasons of adjusting to your mom’s physical absence, and the clearing up after the UK flooding. Have fun, book-club folks! I’ll hope to join in eventually, but hands full just now.

A while back you posted an entry on the cover of Touchstone. I am curious as to what you think about the new editions of A Grave Talent nearly sharing the same cover as The Art of Detection.
