The LRK Virtual Tour: Laurie Raps

I’m going to be doing a virtual tour this month, in addition to a real-life one. We’ll begin our widespread celebration of Touchstone’s publication on Friday at The Rap Sheet. (http://therapsheet.blogspot.com) In fact, I’ll be posting there throughout the day, so if you have a subject you want me to talk about, here’s your chance.

All the stops on this e-tour will be talking about some aspect of Touchstone: research, shaping a story around Serious Topics, writing sex, working on—wait a minute, what was that last one?

Stay tuned. Links will be put up here on Mutterings.

I’ll be “watching” throughout the day.

Chloe and I are greatly looking forward to receiving our copy of Touchstone from Crossroad Books. We rush to check to mailbox as soon as we get home from school/work.

I wanted to take an opportunity to say Happy and Healthy New Year to you and yours.

Dear Laurie, I am about a third of the way through Touchstone after reading your Mary/Holmes books avidly! I have to say that, although I’m enjoying it immensely, that I’m finding it a difficult piece of prose to read!! It’s very detailed and the first part, regarding Cornwall, was like coming home – I absolutely love Penzance and have been returning there a couple of times a year since childhood (I’m now 73!) it’s almost as if you changed in your way of writing and became someone else entirely!! I gather The Bones of Paris has the same hunky American in it so I shall probably read that too. Please don’t stop writing!!!
