Moulay Idriss

Until Garment of Shadows publishes — in just six days — I’ll be posting images from the book, with tidbits of prose to go along.  You might even want to re-visit these posts after you’ve read the book.

The town of Moulay Idriss was haram—sacred, or forbidden, a holy place suited for mystics.

You should put all these delightful images, with their page references and quotations, into a short, brochure-like pamphlet as a promotional “gizzit” for the main book. I shall miss them when you get to publication day.

[“Gizzit”, by the way, is a contaction of “give us it”, which is what small boys and girls say when clustering around someone giving away freebies at a UK air show; with the object being given away free becoming the “Gizzit”.]
