Mary Russell’s War
|August 4, 2015|
One hundred years ago, the armies in Europe were locked head to head all along a line from the North Sea to Switzerland.
In the past twelve months, hundreds of thousands had fallen, soldiers and civilians alike.
An entire swath of Europe lay devastated, the technology of War was building.
And Mary Russell met Sherlock Holmes.
Yes, the e-book Mary Russell’s War is on sale today, on Kindle, here, and on Nook and other formats here.
I hope you enjoy your visit with a young Miss Russell.
Mary Russell’s War not available on Nook as of 9:45 EDT, 8/4/15
One of the frustrating things in self-publishing is how simple Kindle is, and how complicated all the other formats. We always, always have problems with Smashwords and the rest, but they are coming, I hope by end of day. Thanks for sticking with me!
When will Mary Russell’s War be available from Barnes and Noble? I have a nook and just checked and the book is not on their website. Hopefully someday this book will be in actual print. Thanks for all the great stories about Mary and Holmes.
Sitting on my (UK) Kindle first thing this morning! Holiday reading in a month’s time;-)
I don’t use an e-reader, but look forward to the print version. Let us know when!
BTW, I wish you had written the script for the new Mr. Holmes film. Gorgeous setting and acting (Sir Gandalf never disappoints), but I thought the actual script did not deliver on the wonderful premise.
Reading the comments above, sounds like a Kindle is the best bet. I was thinking of getting an e-reader mainly because of Mary’s War and others that aren’t in book form. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!
I have a Kindle Fire and have been able to download e books quickly and easily.
“Mary Russell’s War” was waiting for me this am. I also have Mary’s Christmas.
I have a Kindle Fire, after two generations of Nooks. The book was waiting for me when I turned the Kindle on, which is normal for newly released books that I have pre-ordered. For info, the Kindle has an app for Nook books, so you can log onto the B&N site and read or download your books from there.
Hi Laurie,
Will Mary Russell’s War” and/or “Mary’s Christmas” ever be available in printed form?
Thank you,
Peggy
Mary’s Christmas is available in print: https://laurierking.com/books/mary-russell/marys-christmas-2014-2
Russell’s War will only be an ebook–for a while. It’s possible that a print collection of Russells will be published towards the end of 2016. (Fingers crossed…)
I have a Kindle Fire works great, easy to download all of Laurie’s books. “Mary Russell’s War” was waiting for me this morning.
I devoured the diary last night! I loved it. Feisty thing isn’t she?! The mystery remains as to where she hid this when she put it away, since it did have some answers for her that would have helped in her San Francisco adventure 10 years later. Surely more will be heard from Uncle Jack than the two glimpses we have had of him thus far?
I would really like to read the Ebook about Mrs. Hudson from 2012 but the link does not go to Amazon anymore. Will it be renewed on their site?
Thanks!
Hi Linda, so sorry! We noticed this about two weeks ago and have been trying everything we can think of to contact Amazon about it. I have no idea why they removed it from sale, although we’ve asked several times, and I’m not sure how we can straighten it out if they won’t reply. If you can figure out how to lodge a complaint, feel free to chime in!
Bummer! Missed out on Mary Russell’s War – too busy at work and now it isn’t available on Amazon anymore 🙁
It’ll be back up in a bundle the end of summer, never fear.
