You know, as odd and demanding as Holmes can be, I find it impossible to believe that Mrs. Hudson is the most long-suffering housekeeper in all of Sussex. Think of all the housekeepers of the ungrateful rich, housekeepers for genuine slobs (although we know from Watson that Holmes is a disorderly pack rat), other sorts of unpleasant personages with the means and desire for a housekeeper. At last Holmes appreciates Mrs. Hudson, and doesn’t nitpick her housekeeping.
At last, it is finally April and all I want is the new adventure. The PBS “Sherlock” series paints Mrs. Hudson a portrait with quite a colorful past. Will the new novel follow that idea as well? These are my favorite novels and I am sure my answers will be answered. Thank you for the hours reading that I am so looking forward to.
…but who was under those tangled bedclothes as well-?
My first thought on reading this tease!
Ah, but that would be telling…
OOH, you’re terrible! LOL
