Pub day for ISLAND OF THE MAD

To celebrate today’s paperback birth of Island of the Mad, here’s a groovy tune for you to hum all day—and yes, those are my kids dancing:

In olden days, a glimpse of stocking
Was looked on as something shocking.
But now, God knows,
Anything goes.
Good authors too who once knew better words
Now only use four-letter words
Writing prose.
Anything goes…

I have not yet gotten to this book. My children have been gifting them somewhat in order. But, I am a life-long Holmes addict. I LOVE this series. I want to be Mary! Alas, Sherlock would have to be 117.

Since Sherlock Holmes was born in 1861 (according to Russell’s dates) and he seems to still be alive, he’d be considerably past 117. Even Russell is 119, and still active on Twitter…
