I just wanted to alert you all to an upcoming event that should have you checking the flight schedules for the weekend: The Spirit of Watsonville parade on July 4th will feature the Bookettes, ten crack members of the Watsonville Public Library Book Cart Drill Team, as they circle and weave their way through drill formations like the “Do Si Do” and “Coming through the Rye.” (Shouldn’t that last one be called Catcher in the Rye, to play up the literary aspect?)
