I take off for Anchorage this morning, for BoucherCon and friends–bags packed, Anchorage weather checked, To Do list down to the dregs. I’ll be posting during the conference, for everyone who has to stay Outside. See you from there.

Have a great time. We actually had our physical anthropology meetings there a couple years back…in March. It was an amusing site…physical anthropologists descending upon Anchorage.
It is a beautiful town and very scenic. The Cook Inlet is gorgeous. If you get a chance, totter over to the “SNOW GOOSE RESTAURANT & SLEEPING LADY BREWING CO.” http://www.anchorage.net/directory.html?ListingID=4576
They have the best halibut and brew in town AND they are right on the inlet so its a gorgeous view, especially in the evening.
Safe travels and best of luck!
Safe travels!
I hope the flight went well! I’m leaving for Anchorage tomorrow a.m. Whee!
Oh, and thanks for the restaurant heads-up, Carlina. It’s very close to the hotel, so I’ll put it on the list of good places to go!
Do have a marvelous time filled with great food, better company and as much good wine as you can find and tolerate!
No problem Vicki! I know the hotel and convention center well there. My husband was impressed by the giant bear that greets you in the lobby area on your way to the pub. The Snow Goose is good…halibut salad. Mmmm. Enjoy your stay!
