Ohhh, congratulations to the winner! Will you post the submitted Russellisms somewhere on the website? (Or at least a selection of them?) I am sure it would be fun to read all the clever ideas that everybody has come up with. (Besides, I’m still feeling shamefully exposed with that video visible for everyone’s eyes …)

Why do you feel exposed? It’s a great video, and all we see is your hand. (BTW, viewing your video revealed a glaring error in the contest video. Stephanie should have had the tea cup on the other side. She put the props in place. If I had been on the other side of the table instead of filming, I would have picked up on that because I’m a lefty, but Steph isn’t.)

It’s not like you’re wearing sock puppets and re-enacting the dock scene. Caitlin said that night, “Mom, do you realize, technically speaking, I have my hand up Holmes’ rear end?!”

We were going to do another video, but decided it wouldn’t be right for us to enter a contest we helped design and promote. 🙂 We do have tons of fun blooper footage, though….

Nikki, it’s as if your sensational, funny and inspiring contest video had lured (or rather: motivated) me to jump onto a stage, anticipating soon to be joined by lots of other people. Who haven’t come yet. Standing on that stage for such a long time all by oneself probably can be great fun if one is prepared for it, but if one isn’t … It feels somewhat embarassing, as if I was there to brag and shoff off or something. I loved your video! (Especially that first bit of human-sock puppet dialogue, “awkward name that …”) But unless you are involved in actually judging the entries, why shouldn’t you participate yourself if you have more good ideas up your sleeve? You could have the girls film you, for a change. 😉

Canzonett, you are not alone in the video contest. A friend and I made our video a week ago. She’s working on the editing and hopefully it will be posted soon.

Ahhhh … I’ve just emitted a sigh of relief that managed to blow the papers on top of my desk into complete chaos!

Can someone please help me find the YouTube contest entry videos? Where is the link? So far I can find only Canzonett’s, and the original entry rules explanation video. Why must technology be so difficult sometimes? Or maybe it’s the human interface component…..

    Thanks for the help,

    Sara

Canzonett, first, I’m laughing so hard at what you just wrote. Second, I’m glad that makes you feel better.

For Sara, Go to LaurieRKing under the channels. When you are on Laurie R King’s page, click on playlist on the top of the page. There is a playlist for contest videos. Canzonett’s is the only one right now. My friend and mine’s entry should be up soon…hopefully.
