In that wonderful and illuminating post over at Age 30+ you write:
“And now in the current book, Russell and Holmes are returning home to Sussex in the summer of 1924, following eight months on the road.”
Only because it, ahem, might come up in a future 15 Weeks of Bees contest, I wanted to point out that in the first Chapter of “The Language of Bees” Ms. Russell says “…after seven hard-pressed months abroad”.
Why is this tiny detail (what’a month here or there?) worth mentioning? I’ll never tell!
