Dog love

I’m participating in an event Thursday night for:  “UnChained, a Canines Teaching Compassion Program that helps change the lives of kids and save the lives of dogs by matching at-risk youth and shelter dogs together.”  It’s at one of my favorite bookstores, Capitola BookCafe–details here.

Good for you, Laurie. A worthy endeavour on both sides. My own “faithful hound” – Ketchie the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel – thoroughly approves.

It was quite an enjoyable and totally quirky Santa Cruz evening. Amazing writers, poets, teachers and dog lovers. There even was a singalong! I think awareness and some money was raised!
