Naming a not-so-new baby
|August 4, 2016|
Hey, friends–I’m in the process of making a new web site with just that things on it that readers have contributed–the art, writing, crossword puzzles, etc that we’ve done in various contests and promos over the years, along with pieces that I’ve done for events and such.
So my question for you is: what do we call that site? Laurie King Fan Art? (Which sounds a bit as if I’ve done the art.) The King Community? Russell & Holmes: Art in the Blood? Suggestions, please!
Fan Fun — or Mary Russel’s Fan Fun — or Russell and Holmes Fan Fun.
After all, it’s not Just art….
There needs to be an element of bees in the title.
Russell-Holmes Fan Art Apiary
Russell & Holmes Apprentices’ Apiary
“apiary” as a place where bees are kept or a collection of beehives, with your fans as the “apprentices” (that is, the dabblers or accomplices or beginners . . . )

How about “Brave Adventures in Unfamiliar Places”?
I think Russell (and Holmes) are brave, their adventures make me feel brave – in terms of creativity, and probably other fans, too (especially theones who submit designs).
Then, while some of their adventures are in exotic or faraway places, others are closer to home, like the dear old Orkneys, or involve mythic English figures like The Green Man – these are enough to inspire art and to enlarge all our bravery, in the way that books so often do (therapy, anyone?)Suzanne
