Tour stops & contests, both real & virtual
Today I return to the Left Coast. I will be at Vroman’s in Pasadena tonight, and tomorrow with my dear friends at the Poisoned Pen Bookstore in Scottsdale. I hope you will join me there.

Laurie, I’m glad you’re on your way back home. You must be unbelievably “chuffed” about the place of LANG on the NY Times bestseller list, not that it doesn’t more than deserve to be there. It was a thrill to have you in Virginia, although I’m sorry that our weather was so foul for you. (It’s still raining.)
Off to stroll through the Russellscapes…
We had a fine time at Vroman’s and a bumper crop of questions. There were definite blog readers there, Hi! (*waving*); I’d say some potential recruits were visible for the obses..er seriously committed Friends of Laurie. The event wrapped up around 9, though I think folks would have stayed there for hours. Fortunately the good Alison moved us along. Gypsy (see previous blog post) apparently suffered a nervous breakdown, all too likely in L.A. traffic. Laurie, I hope it was a smooth trip to the airport and the good guys at Poison Pen. best to you and the family//Meredith p.s. I’ll post a little report over at the VBC.

Meredith, thanks for the brief report. I so wish I could have been there. Sorry to hear GyPSy had a breakdown. The LA traffic could do it to anyone (er, anything).
I don’t know how the winner of the Russellscapes is going to be chosen. It seems an impossible task as all the artwork is truly amazing. I would love to have several framed on my office walls, great work everyone.

And on a further note, when is the next Russell being published? I hope we have less than 6 months! PLEASE!

Laurie, my husband and I agree with Kait Roe. PLEASE don’t make us wait long for the next Mary Russell novel! We’re already checking around to see if we can pre-order it.
We own, love, and re-read all of your novels — not just the Mary Russell series. In fact, we own two copies of many of your books because we don’t want to argue over who gets to read it first. Thanks for many, many hours of enjoyment.
On the other hand, we both cried out in frustration when we reached the end of The Language of Bees. Please keep writing — quickly — or we may well go mad with anticipation.
