An excellent and challenging crossword puzzle (done and submitted)! Well done, Marjorie!

    John.

    Thank you, John, very much.

And a reminder that clue 29 Across should read “Detroit” where it now says “Detoit”. I wish I could claim I was tipsy when I typed that, but I just will call it a boo-boo and leave it at that!

I hope you all give it a try. And let me know when you find other boo-boos. They are bound to be in there. Thanks.

Jeez, John! I think you must have set some kind of puzzle solving record 😉

Just another example of one of my relatively unimportant talents, Erin:-)

    John.

Is it something I’m doing wrong, or if the PDF not editable?

  6. Rachel on March 3, 2010 at 12:19 pm

Done! I take it I should just type out the answers like a list when I submit them?

@Erin, you have until Sunday. Slow and steady wins the race. And the crossword puzzle!

@AHF, I made up the grid when I had only just gotten my first iMac and my new Office software, so I did not (and still don’t) know how to create a fill-in-able form. Sorry about that. I was thrilled that I could make the grid at all and get thel little numbers in there!

@Rachel, can you fill out the grid and scan it and email it in?

pdf files are not editable(or at least not without specialized software); if you have scanning capabilities you can print out the pdf file, fill it in, scan it and submit it; or use Rachel’s method of listing the answers to the clues.

    John.

@Marjorie, unfortunately, I don’t have a scanner available. I can either list them or or try taking a picture of the puzzle and sending that in.

@Rachel, I think writing out the answers and emailing them in sounds like it might be clearer choice for the puzzle tallying people (not me, thank goodness!). Either way, I am sure that they’ll figure it out. Thanks.

Either listing the answers or taking a photo is fine to submit your solutions.

Thanks Marjorie! I didn’t get to my computer until last night- it is a loooooong week with conferences- and as soon as I saw a new puzzle I printed it out and HAD to finish it. Totally made my night. 🙂

@Rachel – There you go. The person who really knows that answer to your question has answered you!

@Sara – Thanks so much. Creating the puzzles is a great pleasure combined with hair pulling, teeth gnashing and head banging. LOL. But I love it and it’s all worthwhile when you and others give it a try.

Had fun with this one, and tho it did seem familiar there were some interesting new twists. Happily I have a scanner nearby so no difficulties in sending it along as an attachment.
    Another great job, Marjorie!

Thanks, Merrily. I know that puzzles aren’t your usual thing, so I appreciate that you did it and enjoyed it.
