Hoping for success with box of Russell drawing!
Laurie King, I love your Mary Russell series, especially The Language of Bees. I am fascinated with Doyle’s character. You have taken a fictional character and added the dimension of a wife and thrilling new adventures. Kudos!
I remember when I first discovered your books. My aunt had a box full of books with a little of this and a little of that in it. My eye was instantly draw to the “Beekeeper’s Apprentice” and I could not put it down. I finished that book in a day and a half, I didn’t eat all day. I was in love and nothing could take me away. Thankfully my aunt had the full series and I haven’t stopped enjoying every one since. I adore Mary Russell and of course Holmes but Mary is who I wish I could be. Brave, intelligent, resourceful all in one amazing package. I have always been a huge fan of Sherlock Holmes and now I am a huge fan of Russell and Holmes. There is no better combination. Thank you Laurie R. King for creating Mary.
Hi Liz–isn’t it grand when you find 1) an author you adore and b) that she has a lot of books waiting for you? Glad you’re loving Russell & Holmes, and thanks for the note.
